Himalayan Arts Gallery is a family-owned business dedicated to preserving and promoting the art and culture of Thangka paintings. The skill of painting Thangkas has been passed down through generations, evolving over time. Our collection features a wide range of Thangkas, including Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dharmapalas, Yoginis and more. Thangka paintings are commonly used for meditation, Buddhist rituals, gift and home decoration.
We create a wide range of Thangka paintings, carefully considering their purpose, size, quality, and subject matter. Our Thangkas feature various subjects, including Mandalas, Buddhas (such as Amitabha Buddha, Amitayus, Medicine Buddha, Nagarjuna Buddha and Shakyamuni Buddha), Bodhisattavas (Green Tara, White Tara, Manjushree, Avalokitesvara), Dharmapalas (Mahakala), Yoginis (Bajrayogini and Ekajati), Buddhist masters, the Wheel of Life and the Life of Buddha. Additionally, we offer framing options, including silk brocade and traditional Nepali wooden frames, as well as Thangka blessing upon request.
Every form of craft carries the story of its creators, and supporting local artisans is essential for sustaining livelihoods. That's why we are committed to promoting traditional Nepali crafts, including singing bowls, wooden masks, incense, statues, and other handmade artifacts.
