Himalayan Arts Gallery is a family-owned business that has been keeping up and promoting the arts and the culture of thangka paintings. The skill of painting thangkas has been transferred from generations which has evolved overtimes. The thangkas are of various subjects ranges from Buddha and Bodhisattava Thangka to Dharmapala and yogini Thangkas and many more. Thangka paintings generally are used for meditation, Buddhist rituals, gift and home decoration.
We paint a wide range of Thangka paintings considering the purpose, size, quality, and subjects. The subjects of Thangka ranges from Mandalas, Buddhas(Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Amitayus etc) Bodhisattavas (Green Tara, White Tara, Manjushree, Avalokitesvara), Dharmapalas( Mahakala), Yoginis(Bajrayogini, Ekajati), Buddhist masters, Wheel of life, Buddha life. Also, framing (silk brocade or Nepali style wooden frame) and blessing of thangkas are also done as per the need.
